Welcome to the blog of the nonfiction blogger Dwayne Davies, aka “The Rational Metaphysician”. I am devoted to advocating rationality. I write articles on lots of subjects including but not limited to philosophy, science, technology, physics and economics and more! Whatever the subject, you will find yourself enthralled or challenged by the ideas!

Please take a look around at our articles featured below and if you like them, please consider sharing them!

Here are some of my major blogging projects. All are series that will be starting soon.

Broken Window Economics

There are those that implicitly believe that smashing windows is good for the economy. They might not put it so simply as this. Instead, they will insist that a war that destroys 70% of the windows of the industry of Europe is an economic boon.

If you want to find out why destroying a third of Europe is not an economic boon, then this is the blog series for you!

Broken window.

Debunking Homeopathy Awareness

Welcome to the world of homeopathy. Where less is more, water has magical powers, and you don’t need to prove anything.

This series will address the defence of homeopathy provided by Homeopathy Awareness. We will learn what homeopathy is, what it isn’t and we will see why there is no defence for this pseudoscientific nonsense.

A bunch of rubber ducks.

The Inconvenient Maths

This is a series that uses mathematics to show the foolishness of a great many things. Currently planned topics include: the idiocy of homeopathic dilution, the stupidity of Musk’s assertion that the entire US could be powered by a grid of solar panels, and the improbability of Twitter Blue helping save Twitter.

Math being written on a blackboard.

Blog Posts

  • Islam — the Cause of 9/11 - Islamic terrorism is the cause of 9/11, despite the evasion of many in America and the rest of the West. In this article we explore the proper response to such barbarism: crushing and demoralizing the enemy!
  • The Absurdity of Faith - In this article, I am going to demonstrate that faith is by its very nature unreasonable and that no honest person should ever exercise faith.
  • Is “Settled Science” Scientific? - Some people, including alleged champions of reason and science think that there is no such thing as settled science. Let's bust that unscientific nonsense.
